Sean Ovas (he/him) is an associate at Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc, practicing in all areas of professional regulation.
Before joining the firm, Sean worked at a reputable boutique firm in Toronto, assisting with complex administrative, municipal, and privacy matters before specialized tribunals like the Ontario Land Tribunal and Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. Sean also articled with a local upper-tier municipality where he gave thorough and well-informed advice to different types of clients on employment, health, and professional regulatory matters.
Sean obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa, where he graduated cum laude, and received two entrance scholarships for demonstrating strong academic success. He also has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, with a Legal Studies Minor, where he graduated on the Dean’s Honour List.
Outside of work Sean enjoys cooking, hiking, watching baseball, playing tennis and pickleball, and learning French.
